1. Provide advocates in the field the opportunity to network and share updates from the 2012 NM legislative session and Affordable Care Act (ACA) implementation issues.
2. Discuss issues related to ACA, focusing specifically on women and families in New Mexico.
3. Create Policy Recommendations for better coverage and access to care for women and families in New Mexico.
Advocates, community organizations, policy makers, and business leaders interested in health care policy are encouraged to attend. Seating is limited.

Groups to highlight nursing breaks and other benefits such as contraception in Affordable Care Act
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., March 20th – Women’s health advocates will be on UNM’s campus on Tuesday, March 20th, to educate students about important new benefits in the Affordable Care Act for women. These benefits include nursing breaks for new mothers, contraception coverage and new preventative care benefits coming online in 2012. This event is part of a series of events celebrating the two-year anniversary of the passage of ACA this week.
