Is there adequate support for new moms and families of newborns? If research tells us that time to bond with the baby is a determinant of the child’s health and development, why are there so few social supports and policies to adequately accomplish this? Is there a safety net for moms? Do moms really have a choice about whether they will return to paid work?

Guests include:
Elsa Walsh, former Washington Post reporter
Pat Stephens, Program Director Many Mothers
Maggie Ryan, new mom of twin girls and recipient of home visiting services
